A Distinct Identity
Teacher's pay has risen astronomically within Jersey City with this last contract. However; for substitutes, although pay has remained the same, the work expected has become equivalent to that of a full-time teacher. Without coming together, this situation will only become worse. That is why we decided to create the 'Jersey City Substitute Teachers Union'.

We will hold this issue close to our hearts, working day in and day out to find ways to improve the cause of workers. Jersey City Substitute Teachers Union aims to maintain balance within the labor system, and will keep pushing until the right deal is reached.

This particular labor campaign will strive to increasingly gain coverage all over the world. Why exactly? It is an issue that needs to be addressed, and heavily discussed among politicians and industry-experts alike. Jersey City Substitute Teachers Union is pushing for change, and will do everything we can to see a brighter future.
LIVEABLE WAGES
Substitute Teachers in Jersey City are given the work of their full-time teacher counterparts, but are not given the pay, support, or respect. iIn fact, with the nation-wide Teacher Shortage, Substitute Teachers have become the backbone of the learning environment; however, they make ONLY a fraction of a teacher's pay. We are here to make that change.
